About this program
The City of Waterloo Uptown Community Improvement Plan Tax Increment Grant supports larger redevelopment, rehabilitation, and intensification projects by returning a portion of the municipal tax increase generated by approved improvements. The grant is intended to encourage private investment and long-term revitalization in Uptown Waterloo.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are property owners or developers with qualifying projects in Uptown Waterloo that increase municipal property assessment.
Requirements
- Property must be located in the Uptown Waterloo Community Improvement Plan area.
- Project must involve eligible redevelopment, rehabilitation, or intensification work.
- Project must result in an increase in municipal property assessment.
